Install node, nodejs using NVM ( node version manager)

Install Node Version Manager on Ubuntu 16.04.

The Node Version Manager helps you to work with different version on node, nodejs.
There is a simple way to install it.

Step 1-: Install required dependencies on Ubuntu machine.

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev curl

Step 2-: Install NVM using curl.

curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/creationix/nvm/v0.31.6/install.sh | sh

Step 3-: NVM check the stable version of node.

nvm ls-remote

Step 4-: Install node version you required.

nvm install v6.4.0

Verify the node version.

node -v

Installation nodejs

$ sudo apt-get install curl

$ curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_4.x | sudo -E bash -
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install nodejs
