About MySQL-Server 8.0

There are few steps below to install the MySQL-Server on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

Step 1-: Update the APT repository and upgrade the packages

$ sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

Step 2-: Download the deb package for APT repository

$ wget https://dev.mysql.com/get/mysql-apt-config_0.8.10-1_all.deb && sudo dpkg -i mysql-apt-config_0.8.10-1_all.deb

Step 3-: Select the MySQL server 8.0

Step 4-: Install the MySQL Server 8.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

$ sudo apt update && sudo apt install mysql-server -y

Note-: Enter the strong password as recommended. Enjoy Your MySQL Server 8.0
